Senior HR Manager - Galway

Are you an experienced Senior HR Manager with excellent leadership skills? Do you have experience in influencing key stakeholders at a strategic level? Have you a proven track record in driving change with the ability to identify gaps in all areas?

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior HR professional to lead the HR function in a multinational organization. The ideal candidate will have an extensive career across the medical, pharma and/or manufacturing sector.

 

This position serves as the leader of the HR function in Ireland. You will act as the strategic HR advisor overseeing a headcount of circa 1,200 employees by providing consistent oversight across all areas of HR.

 

Responsibilities

 

 

Ensure regular review of all country policies, processes and employee compensation & benefits to keep them aligned with internal and external trends and business needs.

 

Be the face of HR to all external bodies including regulatory authorities and government agencies.

 

Develop HR strategies and align country HR priorities while balancing regional HR priorities.

 

Coordinate with other HR functions (HR services, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition) to effectively manage the successful delivery of professional HR support to drive the business imperatives.

 

Manages and develop a team of HR professionals.

 

Strategically execute all HR initiatives, ensure consistent implementation and feedback to project owners.

 

Oversight of all local vendors providing HR services in countries e.g. benefit providers

 

Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirement and labor laws while fostering a climate of positive and productive labor relations

 

Drive a culture of continuous improvement and implement tools and metrics to bring to life in the country.

 

Manage the functional budget in line with agreed cost structures

 

Required experience and skills

 

Bachelor's degree or above or equivalent experience, HR related major preferred.

At least 8-10 years of comprehensive HR experience including leading a team.

Experience in working in an international organization

Substantial knowledge of applicable local employment laws and practices

Continuous improvement mindset to support service to the business and reach efficiency in own team.
