Senior Risk | PCF39 | Investment Fund Manager

There is a market leading Investment Fund Manager hiring a Senior Risk Professional in Dublin City Centre to join their expanding team. With offices across Europe this company are authorised as AIFM and AIFMD. This company have been expanding massively of recent and hold some very exciting plans for the months and years ahead.

Inevitably this role will provide excellent opportunities for skill enrichment and career progression. The Senior Risk role reports directly into the CRO providing a huge breath of exposure across the business.

The Senior Risk role holds the PCF39 designation from the Central Bank of Ireland and is offered on a full-time permanent basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the Operational Risk Management Frameworks are fully implemented and adhered to, reviewing and updating regularly
  • Provide senior advice and support on business related issues including but not limited to risk framework tool updates, risk assessments, risk identification reviews, operational resiliency, etc.
  • Complete risk appetite statements annually and ensure all metrics are monitored and reported appropriately
  • Ownership of all applicable risk related regulatory findings/queries along with associate remediation work
  • Attend Board meetings as required ensuring all Management Information is targeted, informative, relevant and timely.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Function regarding engagements with the Central Bank of Ireland reviews
  • Lead Risk Mitigation Programmes across the business
  • Act in findings by Internal Audit, Compliance and External Audit within allocated timelines
  • Ensure any escalations to the risk profile and/or control environment are communicated across the company in a timely manner
  • Lead compliance with the risk management framework by identifying, assessing and developing strategies to mitigate risks, anticipating and identifying emerging issues, leading the development of processes and controls to manage risks, monitoring the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment, remediating deficiencies, monitoring and challenging activities with high degrees of risk potential and enforcing awareness of and adherence to the risk management framework.
  • Promote a strong risk culture throughout the wider company and promote a culture of continuous risk management improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • PCF39 designation - advantageous
  • Strong background in risk management, notably the implementation and embedding of risk frameworks and related tools.
  • Fund related experience essential e.g. fund management, fund servicing and operations, fund risk management etc
  • Undergraduate Degree holder with professional/post graduate qualifications in economics, asset management or relevant alternatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of AIFMD regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity
  • Ambitious self-starter with the ability to adapt and work in a versatile environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
