Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for a strong Payroll Specialist with a world-renowned brand name in North Co Dublin.....................

You will work as part of the payroll team, reporting directly to the payroll manager, whilst taking ownership of both weekly and monthly payrolls for the Irish entities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls in accordance with payroll cycle
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll performance
  • Accountable for preparation/provision of weekly/monthly payroll instructions to external payroll provider, monitoring results and validating accuracy.
  • Payroll processing for expatriate employees (liaise with Global Mobility and Tax advisers)
  • Administer and manage Share participation scheme (Ireland)
  • Good knowledge on Irish payroll (incl. Sick and mat pay) and pension plan
  • Respond to / address HR and / or employee queries arising on supported payrolls.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the external payroll vendors and internal departments
  • Keep him/herself informed and trained on latest payroll regulations / updates for entities supported
  • Ensures compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines (GDPR)
  • Support payroll implementation activities in connection with mergers and acquisitions
  • Processing payroll for 500+ employees.
  • Review of employee time & attendance clock system Smart time
  • Function as the country application owner and main point of contact for the TMS system,
  • Manage all employee payroll related queries in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with HR re: new starts, transfers, terminations and pay grade changes as well as any other associated tasks.
  • Complete payroll audits as they arise.
  • Issue reports to management on a timely basis.
  • Provide support & backup to finance department when required in regard to payroll.
  • Providing a quality and efficient service to the clients of the firm
  • Preparation of reports in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications/Experience:

  • IPASS (or equivalent) qualification
  • Min 2 - 4 years experience
  • Experience with Smart time/Kronos (time & attendance software) ideal but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills & strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to consistently provide a high-quality payroll service to employees.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management and collaboration skills
  • A continuous improvement mind-set
  • Ability to prioritise and handle a high volume of employee queries
  • Displays great attention to detail and analytical ability
  • A clear, fast thinker, able to translate business needs into pragmatic solutions and implement them
