Global Client looking for a Legal Counsel to join their team based in Dublin South. 1-2 years PQE in commercial contract negotiations experience preferably in an in-house role or leading law firm.

Our client are a world-leading clinical research organisation. They are looking for a Legal Counsel to join their team in their Dublin office.

The Role:

As Legal Counsel your primary focus will be to provide legal support and guidance.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on and negotiating a wide range of client commercial contracts (e.g. master and standalone services agreements, confidentiality agreements, data privacy agreements, work orders, change orders and licensing agreements).
  • Advising internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal, corporate and compliance issues, disputes and any other legal matters that arise in the day to day operation of the business.
  • Managing various legal projects to completion in an efficient and effective manner and liaising with internal stakeholders in the business for input and support in such projects.
  • Managing and prioritizing workload in relation to timelines and client submissions.
  • Identifying inefficiencies in day-to-day operations and delivering on recommendations for process improvements.
  • Engaging and liaising with external counsel (managing and minimizing costs to the extent possible).
  • Undertaking other reasonably related duties (including administrative tasks) as may be assigned from time to time

What you will need:

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 1-2 years PQE in commercial contract negotiations experience preferably in an in-house role or a leading commercial law firm. Previous experience in commercial law and/or commercial contracts essential.
  • Ability to independently evaluate complex legal concepts/issues and to provide concise commercially focused solutions in simple language to the business.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization and time management skills.
  • Strong influencing style, articulate and confident.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under their own initiative with a very strong work ethic.
  • Excellent attention to detail with excellent drafting skills.
