Public sector company looking for a legal costs specialist
My client is a public sector organisation currently looking to hire a professional with experience in legal costs on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will manage legal costs claims from third parties arising from litigation against certain public organisation. The role involves analysing and, if appropriate, opposing incoming bills of costs, as well as representing the organisation in negotiating costs such as liability for payment.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience managing legal costs claims, ideally as a lawyer, barrister or litigation professional, with good knowledge of applicable regulation and case-law and with the preparation and taxation of legal costs before the Taxing Master of the High Court and County Registrars of the Circuit Court.
