We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Operations Specialist to join our clients dynamic team in a financial services company.
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and efficiency of technology solutions that support the business model. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, networks, and applications while adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be vital in resolving issues, implementing enhancements, and optimising IT operations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT, including servers, networks, databases, and storage systems.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the timely resolution of infrastructure-related incidents and problems.
- Implement and maintain system monitoring tools and processes to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Escalate critical incidents to appropriate teams or vendors, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to plan, coordinate, and implement system changes and releases.
- Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis for proposed changes to minimise disruptions and ensure adherence to change management procedures.
- Work closely with IT teams to develop and implement preventive measures, permanent resolutions, and workarounds.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls and measures to protect company data and systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years has proven experience as a Project specialist or similar role in Financial Services or IT consultancy.
- Experienced in business analysis, requirements gathering and documentation of 'User
- Proficiency in incident management, change management, and problem management processes and tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and best practices.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining system monitoring tools and practices.
- Experience in UX principles/methodologies.
