Your responsibilities

Our telecoms client is looking for an Agile IT Project Manager to join their team, where you will lead and direct application vendors and plan and deliver defined project outcomes on time, within budget and with a high level of quality. You will have responsibility for all Project Management domains; Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Change, HR, Communication, Risk and Mitigations.

You will build and manage an effective and engaged multi-disciplinary project team to ensure efficient project delivery, whilst maintaining an ongoing Project Management Plan with responsibility for Vendor and Sub-Contracted Partner Management.

  • Additionally, you will be responsible for the operational day-to-day management of project resources (permanent staff and sub-contractors), ensuring that budget and scheduling constraints and quality standards are adhered to.

  • You will align the project with the overall program policies, roadmap, constraints and plans.

  • Within the SAFe Agile Framework, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the delivery function, involving:

-Collaborating with the Product Owner and Chief Scrum Master to develop the scope and plan, while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.

-Owning the overall Delivery Plan (schedule).

-Assisting the Chief Scrum Master and Product Owner in identifying and managing dependencies, prioritizing tasks and resolving issues/conflicts and escalations.

-With the guidance from the Chief Scrum Master set up and own system health and delivery metrics.

-Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for value stream deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to run an effective governance system.

-Review JIRA Metrics, produce status reporting and provide input to Program Steering.

Requirements - what we need from you!

  • 8 years of experience within Project Management, with at least 6 years experience in leading software design, development and deployment projects (ideally SaaS based), with a significant amount of this time within an Agile working environment.

  • Experience in the domain and knowledge in key relevant areas, such as Requirement Management, System Design, SDLC, System Integration, Delivery, Verification and Testing etc.

  • Managerial experience of outsourced / subcontracted functions.

  • In-depth applied knowledge of modern program/project management concepts, practices and procedures, approaches and strategies.
