Job Description

Are you an experienced customs & trade compliance professional looking for a new challenge within the pharmaceutical sector ? If so then this could be the role for you.

A fantastic opportunity for a skilled and ambitious industry expert in the field of customs & trade compliance to join fast growing pharmaceutical company based in Dublin.

You will be joining the global supply chain team as a key cog in their operation to ensure operational compliance within their supply chain function.

The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert on site in Dublin and will be reporting to the Global Logistics & Trade Compliance Manager based in the US.

This is a full time permanent position with a strong hybrid option for the right candidate.

This role also has a very competitive salary & benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in determining HTS classification, Export Control Classification and Country of Origin.
  • Support in managing duty mitigation programs including Inward Processing and Free Trade Agreements
  • Consolidate and analyze import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for savings
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations to management
  • Assist in preparation of training material.
  • Participate in training to stay updated on relevant trade compliance laws & regulations.
  • Develop corrective action plans based on finding and follow actions through until complete.
  • Develop KPIs, monitor metrics and performs periodic performance reviews on Customs Brokers.
  • Perform project management related tasks to enable delivery of team assignments and objectives
  • Calculate and communicate monthly Customs cost savings reporting Transportation analysis as needed

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in political science, International Trade, Supply Chain or equivelent
  • 5+ years of experience in trade compliance
  • 3+ years of experience in a multi-nation setting is preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting government data and reports
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Working knowledge of regional import/export law, HTS, Free Trade Agreements, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as demonstrated strong interpersonal skills able to effectively communicate with all levels
