Our client, a leader in tech and social media platforms, is looking for an experience finance associate for a contract role in Dublin.

The main function of a finance associate is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. A typical finance associate is responsible for a wide range of technology and can work in areas closely related to computers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Compliance Center of Excellence in coordination activities related to the statutory compliance process
  • Liaising with outsourced service providers to track deliverables and monitor deadlines
  • Responsible for managing purchase orders related to compliance spend
  • Communicating with internal and external teams to gather real-time data data for progress reporting
  • Coordinate with business partners across various departments as needed.
  • Supporting the Finance Function with ad hoc tasks and other projects where required
  • Contributing to ongoing process improvement for the benefit of the finance team as a whole

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred.
  • Accounting experience is preferred
  • Experience in a large, fast-moving company, working with cross functional teams
  • Proven experience in managing deadlines or delivering a project
  • Organised and thorough with desire for continuous improvement
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once
  • Excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills
