Job Description

Director of Supply Chain Finance for Leading US Bio-pharmaceutical Company setting up operations in Ireland. This is an exciting hands-on senior appointment

Exciting opportunity to join a leading multinational Pharmaceutical company setting up new operations in Ireland. This is a key senior appointment within the leadership team. You will play a pivotal role managing the commercial supply chain accounting function, assuming responsibility for the cost of manufacturing, transporting, and storing of inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive process improvement projects within the Supply Chain and Finance Group
  • Developing of/ and ensuring internal controls are SOX compliant
  • Ensuring financial records are maintained under GAAP
  • Participate in quarterly internal and external audit process
  • Supporting all financial aspects of the supply chain business
  • Leading inventory counts, generating inventory reports, investigating variances
  • Monito and report on BOM
  • Analysis and prepare periodical reports on cost of materials, production, changes to product design
  • Analysing standard costs compared to actual production costs
  • Providing estimates of new and proposed product costs
  • Prepare and compile reports highlighting any factors affecting price and profitability of product
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of a Cost Accounting System
  • Facilitate month end inventory close: revise obsolete inventory, apply overhead costs, reconciling finished goods
  • Monitor inventory count cycle program
  • Validate COG's for month end purposes
  • Assist with implementation and development of new ERP, process improvements and relevant systems upgrades

Qualifications and experience required:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant
  • 7-10 years post qualification experience required
  • Strong inventory and cost accounting experience
  • Experience working with the Pharmaceutical or related sector
  • Strong knowledge or revenue recognition and government pricing
  • Ability to drive and manage change within a fast-growing environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen, flexible thinking
  • Adaptable, energetic and high performing individual
  • Ability to work independently and drive objectives to completion in a high-paced environment
