Job Description

The Role:

This role supports the business to select, prioritise and deliver its portfolio of projects. The Business Change area provides support to the business in the areas of Business Process Optimisation, Project Delivery, Portfolio & Resourcing and Change Management. The team provides PMO tools, methods and reporting capability, including benefits

management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Change Manager in implementing the change and readiness approach across

the organisation, inclusive of (but not limited to) change impact assessments, training,

communications, business readiness and stakeholder engagement

  • Support implementation of change management practices and activities across the

organisation and with key stakeholders to ensure project transition success for impacted

individuals

  • Deliver associated principles, templates, sample plans and guidance for project teams to

effectively deliver communications for individual projects

  • Work closely with the change and business readiness team to understand change

management requirements emerging from new or changing initiatives

  • Identify risks and issues related to change and readiness activities for projects, and escalate through the Change Manager
  • Provide assurance on the quality and use of change management deliverables for projects,

e.g. training plans, communications, business readiness assessments, both ad-hoc and

through formal project delivery processes

  • Support the wider business in developing an understanding of change management tools,

methods and standards, including practical application of these in projects. Provide specific support and guidance to project managers on developing and using change management

and readiness methods and plans to ensure successful project delivery

  • Make use of measurement systems e.g. change readiness tools, to track effectiveness of

project communications and stakeholder management initiatives. Provide recommendations

for improvement or adjustments to relevant teams where required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience in a change management role in a

comparable organisation

  • Third-level degree in business, communications or similar ideally
  • Formal Change Management qualifications an advantage
  • Experience in large-scale change or stakeholder management initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to build close working relationships with internal and external

stakeholders and drive buy-in to and ownership of initiatives

  • Demonstrated management ability, proactive development, and motivation and engagement skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Polished presenter with strong verbal and written communication skills and good analytical

approach to problem solving
