Commercial Finance Business Partner

We have been engaged by a leading FMCG company in Cork to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their growing Irish operation.

In this role, you will be a Senior Leader in a Commercial Finance team that is gaining market share year on year by driving performance and introducing innovative new products to the market.

Duties & Responsibilities in the Role:

  • Lead and develop a team of five experienced commercial finance professionals
  • Review the commercial finance structure in line with a changed and evolved channel landscape & change how the team works to become a truly agile organisation
  • Support the Commercial Finance team to unlock opportunities to improve our Business Partnering model & customer and consumer focused strategy
  • Responsible for the month end delivery to be efficient and timely in partnership with On and Off-Trade Controllers
  • Challenge the team to tell the story of the numbers in a visual way so that information is actionable and understand in a simple way
  • Responsible for the commercial finance forecasting process
  • Partner with the Marketing Director and the marketing team to drive the strategy of the company forward and to improve profitability of the company
  • Responsible for Innovation Business cases and driving improved performance.

What you will need for this Role

  • Professionally Qualified Accountant
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Expert skills in BI, MS Excel, Powerpoint, database, data warehouse and financial modelling
  • Advanced Influencing skills
  • Working comfortably in a matrix environment and with senior leaders in the business
  • Bachelor of Business or equivalent degree
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
