Job Description

Exciting opportunity with a leading manufacturer of precision wire-based materials supporting a greenfield D365 implementation

Lead the gathering, validating, and translating of business requirements, addressing the gaps, finding solutions and helping the organisation understand how D365 F&O functionality supports those needs.

Functional Consultant will bridge the gap between the technical and business needs, supporting both development and functional teams.


  • Transform business requirements into a straightforward and technical model, and match processes to application requirements

  • Configure processes in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O)

  • Lead workshops to analyse and design solutions for any application, and handle gaps detected

  • Support technical team to make sure business needs are incorporated into the specifications and functions

  • Create or evaluate businesses processes so that you can identify and link functional and non-functional requirements

  • Document setting, support testing, UAT and train users

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, changes, risks, and problems throughout the duration of the project

  • Training, coaching, and support to team

  • Anticipate and inform impact of changes on the business/system upstream and downstream

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience managing/leading teams

  • Experience implementing D365 F&O

  • Experience with D365 F&O - Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing modules

  • Comprehensive understanding of best business & IT practices

  • Project management and business analytic methodologies


  • Effective customer relationship building, and deliver solutions that meet and/or exceed the customers' expectations.
  • Critical thinker / problem solver with the ability to understand complex business processes, considering scope of project

  • Decision-making in ambiguity, and ability to push back on decisions when necessary

  • High energy, enthusiasm, self-starter or ability to work independently

  • Expert-level root-cause analysis and execution skills

  • Stakeholder management and negotiation

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Cross-functional communication across different levels of organisation, internal and external
