The role requires the candidate to provide strong technical support on process/product technologies to support production.
The role requires technical ownership to be taken for several process steps and contributing towards key business drivers such as HSE, Quality, Supply and Cost.
The role will also require a focus on process stability which will involve managing CAPA projects. As process owner, the role will involve collaborating with a number of functional groups delivering projects in the value stream such as NPI and Manufacturing Engineering internally as well as with suppliers.
Provide strong technical support on process / product technologies to support production.
Set up production machines and provide maintenance and troubleshooting support on these machines when needed.
Root cause and problem-solving production issues for onsite Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding Machines.
Complete CAPA's and NC's related to production issues.
Demonstrate a primary commitment to H&S and product quality within the manufacturing environment.
Continuous improvement focus, demonstrating strong knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and apply these tools in the characterisation, optimisation and troubleshooting of process equipment and technology performance
Demonstrate strong knowledge and application of Lean methodologies, and process improvement tools in identification and elimination of "waste" process steps and development of efficient, cost effective equipment and processes.
Co-ordinate the introduction of new processes, equipment and materials including installation, calibration, EHS assessment debug, and all associated process and quality system documentation requirements including technical and process work instructions.
Liaise with Engineering team and external equipment / tooling vendors, in the selection, design & development of new (or upgrades to existing) automation systems, equipment, tooling and fixturing.
Lead internal projects, such as Capital investments (facilities, automation, equipment etc), CI and Lean programs while supporting and following a PMO structure.
Customer facing, leading NPI and product transfer projects from initial proposal/ quotation, to planning, execution and close out
Liaise with toolmakers in EU and Asia on tool design, DFM, project, approval and validations.
Complete the writing and release of process validation documentation including FMEA's, Validation Plans, protocols and reports.
A degree in a relevant engineering subject is required or diploma with relevant additional industrial experience.
Experience in working to ISO 13485 standards.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Experience and knowledge of injection moulding machines, process set up and optimization.
Experience and knowledge of blow moulding machines, process set up and optimization.
Technical Writing Experience is not essential but would be an advantage.
