WaterWipes was born out of the company Irish Breeze Ltd., which was established in 1993 and has become a world leader in skincare and baby care.
Headquartered in Ireland, the company has experienced phenomenal growth in recent years, and now employs 300+ people, selling to over 60 countries worldwide, is listed as a Deloitte ‘Best Managed Company’ for the second year running and has achieved global ‘Great Place to Work’ accreditation. To date, the business has established offices and developed employee bases in Ireland, the USA, Singapore, China, Germany, Dubai, Canada, and The Netherlands.
Our first assignment with WaterWipes, we were approached to carry out an exhaustive executive search to identify and secure a world class Chief Operating Officer. The role would have responsibility for the overall hands-on management of the manufacturing plants with a principal focus on developing a scalable manufacturing environment to meet rapidly growing market demands.
As the pace of the growth of the organization escalated, the WaterWipes operation was ramping up significantly. We wanted to bring in world class operational leadership excellence. At the same time, the successful candidate needed to understand a high growth, scale-up environment, delivering for today and planning for tomorrow. We reached out to our network in the international FMCG community to shortlist a strong panel of operations leadership talent. Again, the key for success was to identify the right cultural fit that could bring their learnings from scaled high performing operations to a scale-up environment. We secured outstanding Chief Operations Officer who remains a key member of the C-Suite today.
