(Senior) Development Manager - Java - Bank - Contract

About the Client

Our client, a leading bank in Hong Kong, is looking for an experienced (Senior) Development Manager to join their Corporate Banking IT team.

This position is a 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze user requirements, and translate them into functional and system specifications.
• Lead and coordinate development teams to ensure the timely delivery and quality of deliverables.
• Participate in system design, development, testing, and post-implementation support.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure project goals are met within scope, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• 8+ years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Solid experience in system development lifecycle (SDLC), particularly within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to manage both onshore and offshore teams.
• Hands-on experience in Java or other enterprise-grade development technologies is an advantage.
