As a Regional Media & Communications Analyst you will analyze the impact of major news cycles and public policy issues across different media channels. Focusing on key APAC markets, you will deliver critical language qualitative and quantitative insights where automated tracking tools underperform, directly informing regional communication strategies.
Read, analyze, and synthesize daily media coverage and public sentiment regarding key corporate and policy issues across traditional press, social media, and owned channels.
Overcome the technical limitations of automated tracking tools by delivering precise, native-level linguistic analysis and context for target markets.
Act as the regional subject matter expert by briefing the wider team on local news cycles, political nuances, and evolving regulatory landscapes across APAC.
Design and distribute comprehensive media insight reports, utilizing advanced data visualization techniques to demonstrate campaign impact and guide future strategies.
Partner with the broader communications team to establish, track, and optimize meaningful KPIs for both reactive and proactive initiatives across earned, paid, and owned media.
Coordinate directly with global communication and public affairs leadership teams under tight deadlines to deliver high-quality intelligence during critical news cycles.
2 to 4 years of proven experience in media analysis, journalism, academic research, or working within a media agency, measurement platform, or think tank.
Professional fluency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin; With Korean or Japanese are an advantage
Hands-on experience working with media monitoring and social listening platforms
Exceptional quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, with a strong ability to manage complex data sets and translate numbers into an engaging story.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Data/Statistics, Public Relations, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
Highly organized, flexible in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable delivering high-quality work under severe time constraints.
