    A prominent organization in Hong Kong is seeking a visionary leader with a passion for driving startup success, to join as Associate Director and make a lasting impact to build the next generation of high-growth companies.

    About the role

    Reporting to the Head of startup investing, you will lead a small team, keep a keen eye for hidden gems and investment opportunities, work closely with promising startups, investors, and guiding early-stage ventures through strategic growth, fundraising, and operational excellence.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and execute the strategy and operations of a startup growth program, focusing on valuation and successful exits.
    • Source and evaluate early-stage startups for investment, conducting due diligence and negotiating deal terms.
    • Support fundraising efforts and manage relationships with Limited Partners and potential investors.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to guide startups in business development, strategic planning.
    • Monitor client progress and deliver tailored resources, training, and program development to support growth.
    • Organize high-impact events and networking initiatives to strengthen community engagement and ecosystem value.
    • Ensure operational compliance, promote a culture of excellence, and mentor team members for continuous improvement.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Finance, Engineering, Science, or related disciplines
    • 15 years of relevant work and team leading experience.
    • Proven track record in startup investment, with successful portfolio outcomes.
    • Knowledge in Advanced Technology in Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Quantum Computing is highly preferred.
    • Deep understanding of business incubation, growth processes.
    • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
