An established global brand is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to join its regional Infrastructure team. This role supports daily network operations and leads network delivery for commercial site expansions across multiple key markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Ideal for an engineer with 5-8 years of experience who excels in vendor management, cross-functional collaboration, and practical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Incident Management: Provide Level 3 support and operational troubleshooting for enterprise networking, VPNs, cloud environments, and security infrastructure. Lead root cause analysis, maintain standard operating procedures, and participate in change management processes.
Regional Site Deployment: Manage end-to-end network delivery milestones for new site launches. Coordinate with local vendors, internet service providers, managed service partners, and internal project teams to ensure timely go-live execution.
Vendor & Telecom Partner Management: Oversee regional telecommunications partners and managed service providers. Drive service activation, track circuit readiness, manage escalations, and audit vendor performance across regional markets.
Platform Enhancement: Maintain and optimize security, observability, and cloud networking platforms. Identify manual operational processes to streamline through automation and standard-setting.
Required Technical Capabilities
Networking & Security: Solid operational experience with enterprise SD-WAN architectures (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, or Juniper), firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto), enterprise VPNs (e.g., GlobalProtect), TCP/IP, core routing/switching, DNS, and DHCP.
Telecom & WAN Technologies: Hands-on familiarity with WAN provisioning including DIA, MPLS, broadband variants, and cellular backup connectivity (LTE/4G/5G).
Cloud & Observability: Understanding of public cloud networking fundamentals (AWS or Azure) alongside monitoring platforms such as Datadog or Splunk.
Scripting & Tooling: Basic to intermediate Python scripting; exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or Ansible); proficiency in ticketing and documentation platforms (Jira, JSM, Confluence, or ServiceNow).
Desirable Experience & Attributes
Prior background in multi-site distributed environments, commercial expansion projects, or consumer-facing industries.
Strong track record of managing third-party vendors and regional APAC stakeholders.
Self-starter mindset with strong ownership, clear communication skills in English, and a business-focused approach to operational problem-solving.
