Mechanical Engineer

About The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing full support to the product development cycle including designing, prototyping, and manufacturing. In addition, the individual will be using 3D CAD to formulate computer simulations prior to the approval of prototype formulation.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the product development cycle including designing, prototyping, and manufacturing for product portfolio in consumer electronics
• Utilize 3D CAD system for the development of computer simulations and assess prototype's specifications prior to the process of manufacturing/ bulk production
• Establish specifications for mechanic parts, molds and tools to ensure a high degree of product quality & reliability and production yield
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (NPI, Electronics Engineering, Production) to ensure a balance of technical and commercial aspects are maintain throughout the process project delivery

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering or any other relevant discipline of studies in Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in mechanical engineering/ product development/ R&D, all of which should be obtained within the industry of manufacturing
• Knowledgeable in 3D CAD and computer simulation techniques for mechanical structure design and thermal management is preferred
• Experience in mechanical packaging design and tooling design is preferred
• Fluency in written and spoken of Cantonese, English, and Mandarin
• A detail minded individual with great communication skills to manage and coordinate the fulfilment of the project timeline
• Candidate with more experience will be considered for the title of Senior Mechanical Engineer
• Willingness to travel occaisonally
• Immediate availability is preferred
