Our client, a family office with a broad range of investment in EMEA, is now seeking a seasoned legal counsel to advise on gaming regulations to support the iGaming (online gambling) business operation in EMEA.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior management and executives on gaming laws, rules, and regulations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions, identifying and mitigating regulatory risks.
- Design and implement comprehensive compliance frameworks to address legal requirements and keep abreast of regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions.
- Lead the submissions to gaming regulatory authorities for acquiring new licenses and modifying existing ones, aligning organizational goals with compliance mandates.
- Provide legal advise on a broad spectrum of gaming-related issues, including intellectual property rights, anti-money laundering strategies, consumer protection regulations, and data privacy laws, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and professional service providers.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong or a common law jurisdiction with 6+ PQE in law firm or in-house.
- Sound knowledge of gaming regulations, licensing and compliance requirements.
- Experience in EMEA online gambling regulations and compliance work is a plus.
- Proficient in both English and Chinese.
