Responsibilties:
· Manage a small team to oversee financial reporting
· Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports, and implement monthly variance reporting
· Ensure timely and efficient processing of all payments, including vendor payments, payroll, and employee reimbursements
· Implement and maintain effective internal controls
· Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, laws, and regulations, including statutory and tax filings
· Assist with ad-hoc special projects and analyses as needed
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. legal, HR, operation)
· Assist in the enhancement and establishment of SOPs
· Liaise with external auditors
· Participate in ERP system implementation with IT, ensuring seamless integration and data quality
· Mentor and develop the finance team to enhance their performance and skills
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
· CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
· 8+ years of experience in financial reporting and consolidation with Big 4 audit experience is an advantage
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sun) and MS Office applications
· Industry experience in mining is a strong advantage
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
