About the Company:
A fast expanding asset management firm is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join their Equity Investment Department, focusing on Absolute Return segregated accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing portfolios with a focus on Hong Kong Equities, aiming to deliver consistent positive returns. Responsibilities:
- Lead the construction, management, and optimization of absolute return segregated account portfolios.
- Formulate and execute sophisticated investment strategies, adjusting tactically to market shifts to ensure capital preservation and alpha generation.
- Conduct deep-dive fundamental research and sector analysis to identify high-conviction investment opportunities within the HK equity market.
- Monitor portfolio risk metrics and implement hedging or rebalancing techniques to mitigate downside volatility and ensure compliance with risk limits.
- Prepare and present comprehensive performance attribution reports.
- Oversee trade execution and ensure optimal entry/exit points and minimal market impact.
- Contribute to the design and launch of new absolute return products by providing market insights and technical investment expertise.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or above from a top-tier domestic or international university; CFA/CAIA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Portfolio/Investment Manager, specifically with a track record in HK stock absolute return strategies.
- Demonstrated excellence in investment performance, consistently ranking in the top 30th percentile of peer groups or benchmarks.
- Deep understanding of securities laws, segregated account policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Fluency in Mandarin and professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Decisive mindset with the ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure and execute strategies with precision.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a high degree of resilience, with the flexibility to be based in either Hong Kong or Shanghai.
