Job Description

The leading Canadian brokerage has a brand new role building out a brand new product line. This role reports director to the Chief Product Officer.

The Director of Product is to provide strategic leadership and product management of the B2C digital product experiences in auto, home, travel and other insurance arenas. This position will include overall product management, supporting product development, providing input to pricing decisions, strategy, risk management, analysis, reporting, creation and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and policy language, as well as overall portfolio analysis and premium leakage reviews.   • Have 5+ years experience working within progressive fintech organizations
  • Have 5+ years experience in working with product and technology teams in delivering world class digital insurance experiences
  • Have a Masters or equivalent education in business or related certifications
  • Have experience in financial modeling and budget management
  • Have expert leadership skills with the ability to influence and gain respect, credibility and confidence from others
  • Have the ability to make excellent and well justified decisions in complex and high-pressure situations
  • Have deep expertise and knowledge of Auto, P&C, Travel etc insurance, strategies, underwriting practices, guidelines, and the external operating environment.
  • Have a proven track record of successfully leading complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors and delivering solutions
  • Have a proven track record of successfully maintaining a deep understanding of enterprise direction, goals and industry and leading teams in alignment with business and IT strategies
  • Have demonstrated ability to Develop, direct, coach, mentor and reinforce team members in line with the mission, vision, values, goals and performance standards
  • Create a positive and motivating working environment
  • Make people feel that their contributions are visible and valued
