Senior Legal Cashier - 12-Month FTC | £45,000
We're partnering with a fast growing, PE backed law firm undergoing an exciting buy and build strategy, and they're looking for a Senior Legal Cashier to join their expanding finance team on a 12 month FTC. This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal cashier who is ready to step up into a more senior position, taking responsibility across a busy cashiering function while supporting a large team. You'll be managing a high volume of transactions, with the firm processing around 500 to 1,000 transactions per month, and will play a key role in maintaining accuracy, controls and smooth day-to-day operations. This is an ideal role for a Senior Legal Cashier, Deputy Cashiering Manager or experienced Legal Cashier looking for a step up within a growing, PE backed business. Immediate availability is essential.
What you'll be doing
- Managing high volume legal cashiering transactions
- Managing the wider cashiering workload and ensuring deadlines are met
- Handling client and office account transactions
- Supporting reconciliations, payments and banking processes
- Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
- Maintaining strong financial controls and accuracy across the cashiering function
- Working closely with the wider finance team and fee earners
What we're looking for
- 3+ years' legal cashiering experience
- Strong knowledge of legal cashiering processes and SRA Accounts Rules
- Experience working in a busy, high volume law firm environment
- Previous experience supervising or supporting junior cashiers
- Confident managing competing priorities and taking ownership
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
