Transformation Portfolio Office Manager
London - Hybrid working | £70-90K
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transformation Portfolio Office Manager to shape and influence enterprise-level transformation across a leading UK utility provider.
You will not be managing the day-to-day delivery of individual projects. Instead, you will sit at the strategic centre of the transformation agenda, providing governance, oversight and assurance across the full portfolio of change initiatives.
Acting as the critical bridge between programme teams, Executive Leadership and the Board, you will turn complex transformation data into clear, actionable insights to drive high-level decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Governance & Assurance: Lead stage-gate reviews and portfolio governance across key steering forums.
- Executive Insights & Reporting: Translate complex datasets into clear, high-impact Board papers, executive insights and interactive Power BI dashboards.
- Risk & Benefits Management: Oversee portfolio-wide risk tracking and escalation, while aligning TOM inputs and business planning into a robust benefits realisation framework.
- Data Integrity: Serve as the single source of truth for portfolio performance, maintaining advanced Excel models and analytical frameworks.
- Strategic Coaching: Partner with internal teams, Audit and Assurance to coach stakeholders on governance best practices and drive continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Portfolio Experience: Proven experience in a Transformation Office, Enterprise PMO or Portfolio Office overseeing complex change portfolios rather than project-level delivery.
- Advanced Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Power BI (dashboard development, KPI tracking) and Excel (complex data manipulation, reporting models) is essential.
- Executive Reporting: Track record of producing high-level reports and presentations (Advanced PowerPoint) for Board and Executive audiences.
- Strategic Governance: Background in benefits realisation, risk management, and PPM tools. Formal qualifications (PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, or APMG) are desirable.
- Consultancy Experience: Prior experience working in or alongside Big Four consultancies is highly advantageous.
