    About the job

Technical Project Manager - DNS & Core Network Infrastructure
    Central London / Hybrid (2 days office, 3 days home) | £450-500pd inside IR35

Are you an experienced Technical Project Manager with deep exposure to core network platforms and telecoms infrastructure? A leading, tier-1 UK telecommunications provider is seeking a proactive DNS Lifecycle Project Manager to spearhead the upgrade, resilience and regulatory compliance of their national DNS environment. Sitting at the intersection of Core IP, Cybersecurity, and Network Operations, you will lead high-availability system upgrades across Authoritative DNS, Recursive DNS Cache and Essential Security platforms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Platform Upgrades: Lead end-to-end lifecycle delivery for core DNS infrastructure, including Essential Security, Auth DNS and DNS Cache deployments.
    • Stakeholder Coordination: Work directly with Core IP Engineering, Cyber Security, Product, and Commercial teams, as well as external technology vendors.
    • Regulatory & Risk Management: Manage compliance reporting, risk assessments, and mitigation plans in line with UK Telecommunications Security Regulations (TSR) and audit frameworks.
    • Governance: Track delivery performance against strict compliance KPIs and escalate risks or operational gaps proactively.
    • Operational Procedures: Support the development of updated DNS lifecycle procedures and incident response frameworks.

    Key Requirements & Qualifications:

    • Experience delivering technical network projects within a telecommunications, ISP or regulated carrier environment.
    • Proven experience managing Core Network/Core IP infrastructure projects (e.g., DNS, DDI, IP networks, mobile core or fibre).
    • Direct experience with carrier-grade DNS platforms (e.g., Auth DNS, Recursive/Cache DNS, Infoblox, BIND or Nominum).
    • Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe or Scrum) is essential.
    • Strong knowledge of telecoms security controls, access management and supply chain risk.
    • Outstanding communication, documentation and senior stakeholder management skills.
