We are partnered with a high-growth, PE-backed managed services provider in the property sector. The company has experienced significant expansion through a series of acquisitions, resulting in a fragmented finance function across multiple UK locations.
As part of their transformation journey, they are seeking an experienced Head of Shared Services to lead the consolidation and optimisation of finance operations.
Role Overview
This is a newly created leadership role, responsible for establishing and running a centralised finance shared service function. You will play a critical role in driving process efficiency, improving service delivery, and leading a significant change management programme across the finance teams.
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and lead a centralised Finance Shared Services Centre to support a team of 30+ across multiple UK locations.

Drive standardisation and optimisation of end-to-end finance processes including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Billing, Credit Control, and Master Data Management.

Implement and embed Workday ERP across the function.

Lead the centralisation and potential offshoring of selected finance functions to drive efficiency and cost synergies.

Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, acting as a key business partner on commercial and contractual matters.

Drive human and cultural change management initiatives across newly integrated teams.

Ensure service level agreements and KPIs are developed, implemented, and maintained.

Support future M&A integrations from a finance operations perspective.
Key Requirements

Proven experience leading a finance shared service transformation within a complex, acquisitive, multi-site business.

Strong background in finance operations: O2C, P2P, credit, billing, procurement, etc.

Demonstrated success in change management, team leadership, and process optimisation.

Experience with ERP systems, ideally Workday.

Exposure to offshoring/outsourcing models and performance frameworks.

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a commercial mindset.

Comfortable with travel to various UK sites as needed.
