This Big 4 firm is recruiting for a Capital Allowances Tax Manager to join their existing team of 15 specialists based in London (and a further 20-25 individuals across the UK). The team is made up of a mix of tax advisers, accountants, chartered surveyors and ex-HMRC inspectors, working across a broad range of clients across almost every industry sector, ranging from owner-managed businesses to large multinational organisations. The role in the London team will focus primarily on the real estate, infrastructure, banking, and insurance sectors.
The successful applicant will be:
Broadly speaking the role will be split 60:40 between claims and transactional advice. The role of the Manager will be to review the claims prepared by junior members of the team, offering feedback and guidance where required. There will some involvement in business development, but the bulk of the work will be reviewing claims and writing up transactions. You will have demonstrable and practical experience of working on capital allowances and ideally have a tax/accounting/surveying qualification.
