Accounts/ Business Services Senior

I'm working with a highly regarded independent accountancy firm in the City that is continuing to grow its Business Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients and wants a broad role combining statutory accounts, management accounts and advisory support.
The Role
Working closely with managers and partners, you'll manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, LLPs, partnerships and limited companies across a wide range of sectors.
The role offers an excellent mix of responsibilities, including:
- Preparing statutory/year-end accounts from a variety of client records.
- Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Preparing draft corporation tax computations for review.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Working directly with clients and becoming a trusted day-to-day contact.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
- Getting involved in ad hoc assignments as your experience develops.

About You
You'll ideally be:
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Currently working within an accountancy practice.
- Experienced in preparing statutory accounts for owner-managed businesses.
- Comfortable preparing management accounts and VAT returns.
- Familiar with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
- Organised, personable and confident managing multiple client deadlines.
