Job Title: Learning & Capability Business Partner
Location: Watford, with occasional regional travel across 5 regions
Salary: £50k - £57k + car allowance £5,250pa
Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri (Hybrid, 2 - 3 days office, parking onsite, walking distance from train station)
About the Role:
We are looking for a Learning & Capability Business Partner to lead learning and workforce capability across the division that has circa 600 employees. This is a high-impact, delivery-focused role. You will shape and implement practical learning solutions that strengthen technical capability, ensure compliance, and support leadership and operational excellence. While not a strategic leadership post, you will play an important role in influencing workforce planning through insight, data and trusted business partnering.
You will work closely with senior leaders, operational teams and subject matter experts to ensure learning activity is aligned to business priorities and regulatory requirements. Please note to be successful candidate for this role you will need to come from an engineering, manufacturing or operational environments.

Learning & Capability Business Partner Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders to identify capability gaps and develop targeted L&D plans.
- Ensure learning interventions meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support coaching, mentoring and career pathway initiatives.
- Provide hands-on support with scheduling, reporting, systems and data when needed
- Analyse workforce and training data to inform decisions.
- Monitor and audit training records to ensure mandatory requirements are met.
Learning & Capability Business Partner will have / be:
- Proven experience in Learning & Development, within construction, engineering or operational environments.
- Have commercial awareness and being able to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to become a trusted advisor to senior management.
- Line management experience is desirable but not essential.
- A highly organised individual who can "quiet the noise".
