Job Description

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager role, 12-month contract role, £70,000-£90,000, West Sussex

Morgan McKinley Accountancy and Finance have been engaged to source a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager for an internationally trusted and sustainable busines with the global Head Office in Crawley.

This is a maternity cover fixed term contract covering 12 months for a talented Finance professional to join their expanding finance team which consists of Financial Accounting, Business Partnering and the Payments Team.

You will be responsible for the coordination and control of the UK planning and reporting process, together with leading the management reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes for all central departments. This will include regular liaison with Directors and department heads to present & challenge results and discuss variances.

Salary: £70,000-£90,000 per annum

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing monthly financial analysis and insight into the commercial performance of allocated regions & sectors. Compiling monthly operations reporting pack & KPIs for senior management and group review
  • Coordinating and reviewing the budgeting, strategic plans and forecasting process, including setting timetables, preparing business assumptions, key templates & management of delivery to deadlines. Presenting to the CEO/FD
  • Working collaboratively with the regional, sector and finance teams to ensure monthly variances to plans are understood and any future risk & opportunity to the full year forecast is quantified
  • Provision of cashflow and working capital forecasting and reporting and analysis
  • Management Accounting for alloacted overhead costs with forecasting & variance analysis
  • Ad-hoc commercial project work & ad-hoc analysis supporting the Financial Controller/Finance Director
  • Ensuring the robustness of underlying financial records, as maintained in the SAP financial ledgers, together with ensuring compliance and reporting of all statutory accounting and reporting in line with FRS 102

Who are we looking for?

  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA, minimum 5 years PQ
  • Good working knowledge of SAP Finance
  • Well-developed IT skills over the range of Microsoft Office packages, but to specifically include advanced Excel
  • Proven experience of operating in a similar FP&A role and delivering high quality output to tight deadlines
  • Strong experience of day to day management of a reporting function in a similar sized or larger organisation (£500m+), with a minimum 5 direct reports
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and financial modelling skills
  • Proven track record of working with senior management (ideally Director level)
  • Leading and managing change to finance and related IT systems and procedures
