Morgan McKinley Talent Solutions was recently engaged by a FTSE 250 listed wealth and investment management company to restructure their managed portfolio services.
The new structure would leverage internal fund management capabilities through another division of the group, placing much less reliance on external funds and consequently providing a much improved and cost effective outcome for clients. Other potential benefits also include de-risking and streamlining the service operationally.
Due to the organisational structure and methodology required by the client, we created a functional work stream approach covering;
Additionally, we added a rationalisation of below-threshold accounts during which clients would be required to inject funds to bring their balance up to threshold or exit the service. Full rationalisation analysis of all 10k+ accounts was required prior the main managed services restructuring to minimise client outreach activity and prevent a poor client experience from multiple related client letters.
