Job Description

Our client, a reputable global bank, is expanding their Singapore AML team and is looking to hire a Vice President to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Singapore MLRO, ensuring prompt reporting and escalation of financial crime risks and control gaps.
  • Collaborate with Corporate and Investment Banking teams, applying expertise in AFC policies and Group AML/CTF Policies to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Provide guidance to the business on AFC matters, including policy dispensations, transactions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assess internal policies, procedures, systems, and controls for conformity with local regulatory obligations and DB Group standards.
  • Monitor MAS AML/CTF regulations and sanctions developments, staying updated on changes in the regulatory landscape.
  • Review and report unusual or suspicious client activities to the Singapore MLRO, preparing necessary reports for local filing.
  • Oversee transaction monitoring and name screening escalations, assess new product and transaction approvals, and contribute to risk assessments.
  • Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of prior experience in AML/CFT Advisory, preferably in Corporate and Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Global Markets.
  • Proven expertise and familiarity with MAS AML/CFT regulatory requirements and financial crime compliance programs.
  • Track record of successful collaboration within a team in a multinational organization, demonstrating effective senior stakeholder management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for comprehensive reporting and engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to evolving priorities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach in meeting organizational and business needs.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and exhibit a self-starting, organized mindset.
  • Aptitude for both independent work and team collaboration, with the capacity to build relationships across AFC and the broader business landscape.
