Job Description

Treasury Senior Associate

Our client a corporate services firm affiliated with an Asset Management firm is looking to hire for a Treasury senior associate position. This will be a 12 months contract, subject to further extension/conversion.

Overview

  • Play an integral part in the Corporate Banking team's transition from current internal banking & payment tools towards a new payment platform and custom Treasury Management System.
  • Take responsibility for on-boarding Asian bank accounts from existing systems to our interim and final payment platforms.

Job Scope

  • Process urgent payments on banking platforms, assisting users with any issues on the back end/systems when required.
  • Problem solving for any payment related issues
  • Confirmation and settlement of FX trades
  • Manage the operational relationship with internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and follow up on various banking processes and security issues
  • Handling any ad-hoc enquiries relating to bank accounts and problem solving for any payment related issues
  • Keep the internal database up to date with new/closed bank accounts and signatory changes
  • Ensure data integrity is maintained to the highest standard in line with governance protocol
  • Responsible for cash related reporting for the Asian portfolio i.e. month end bank statements
  • Liaise with Auditors and/or Banks for audit confirmation process
  • Support on-boarding process of the Asian bank accounts
    • Reach out to various banks and internal parties on required documents
    • Act as the primary contact for the Asian banks, maintain the relationships & respond to queries
    • Keep track of status and work towards on-boarding deadlines

Requirements

  • University degree in Accountancy/Finance or relevant discipline
  • Ideally 6+ years in a Corporate Treasury/Cash Management function at a multinational corporation.
  • Ideally, would also possess exposure to or knowledge of middle/back office operations and accounting/audit functions.
  • An understanding of the Swift payment network and basic Swift messages relating to cash and cash reporting
  • Fluent in English, any other language will be an advantage
  • Experience in Management Reporting
  • Possess good understanding of financial instruments and products
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
