The average salary for HR professionals in Japan varies greatly depending on the area of expertise and level of experience. For example, for HR generalists, the average salary is JPY 6.5 million at staff level, JPY 10 million at HRBP/HR Manager level, and 12-20+ million at HR Director level. For specialists in areas such as Payroll / C&B / L&D / Talent Acquisition, it is 6 million at staff level, 10 million at manager level, and 12-16+ million at director level.
