    Semiconductor Sales Manager - B2B Sales Yokohama

    About the job

    Join an established global semiconductor company as a Semiconductor Sales Manager, leading Account Managers and driving strategic business growth across the Japanese market.

    This management-level position combines semiconductor B2B sales, account management, team leadership, market strategy, and commercial negotiations. You will develop and execute long-term regional sales strategies targeting key customers, applications, and semiconductor process technologies while managing departmental KPIs and customer business plans.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced semiconductor sales professional with a background in Foundry, IDM, Fabless, OSAT, or semiconductor devices who is ready to take on a leadership role and expand strategic accounts in Japan.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead, supervise, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers and semiconductor sales professionals.
    • Conduct regular account plan reviews and provide strategic direction to sales team members.
    • Develop and execute long-term regional market strategies focused on target customers, applications, and semiconductor process technologies.
    • Identify new business opportunities and drive sustainable revenue growth within the Japanese semiconductor market.
    • Manage departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct quarterly performance reviews.
    • Oversee customer account strategies, business plans, and sales execution.
    • Lead commercial negotiations with strategic semiconductor customers.
    • Drive customer development and strengthen long-term relationships with key accounts.
    • Coordinate cross-functional sales initiatives with relevant internal teams.
    • Monitor market developments, customer requirements, and business opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
    • Apply structured Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) management processes to improve sales performance and business results.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • Proven B2B account sales experience within the semiconductor industry.
    • Professional experience with or selling to semiconductor businesses such as Foundry, IDM, Fabless, OSAT, or semiconductor device companies.
    • Experience managing customer accounts, business plans, commercial negotiations, and account development.
    • Strong understanding of semiconductor customers, applications, and market dynamics.
    • Experience driving sales targets, KPIs, and strategic business objectives.
    • Minimum Associate degree, technical college qualification, or equivalent higher education.
    Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to guide, coach, and support a high-performing sales team.
    • High level of accountability and personal initiative with the ability to independently drive business objectives.
    • Strong adaptability when responding to changing customer requirements, market conditions, and business priorities.
    • Proven ability to independently execute PDCA management processes and continuously improve business performance.
    • Excellent commercial judgement and stakeholder management capabilities.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term market development with short-term sales objectives.
    • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills for managing key semiconductor accounts.
    Language Requirements:
    • Japanese: Fluent-level proficiency required for customer management, commercial negotiations, and domestic sales activities.
    • English: Fluent/business presentation-level proficiency required for communication within a global organisation; TOEIC 600 or above required.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Chinese language proficiency.
    • Experience leading Account Managers or a semiconductor sales team.
    • Established relationships within the Japanese semiconductor industry.
    • Experience developing regional or strategic sales plans for semiconductor products and technologies.
    • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, process technologies, applications, or device markets.
    • Experience working within a global semiconductor or technology organisation.
    • Strong track record of strategic account development and long-term business growth.
