Step into a pivotal role as a Customer Quality Engineer with a global leader in automotive technology. In this position, you will take ownership of customer quality assurance activities, manage quality claims, conduct root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement through 8D problem-solving. Working closely with global teams, suppliers, and customers, you will ensure product reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Customer Quality Notifications (QN) including alerts, claims, and derogations; prepare QN reports and coordinate defective part returns.
- Conduct initial assessments of customer returns (0km failures and field claims) and lead in-depth defect investigations.
- Drive 8D problem-solving with manufacturing plants and suppliers, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting to customers.
- Organize and oversee on-site sorting activities at customer locations, minimizing costs and tracking expenses.
- Prepare internal and external quality reports; support ISO, TQM, Six Sigma, EH&S initiatives, and related compliance programs.

- Japanese: Fluent (Advanced/Upper Business Level).
- English: Fluent (Advanced/Upper Business Level).
Other Requirements:
- Strong communication skills for global collaboration.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 25%).
- Demonstrated success in managing customer quality processes.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in quality audit methodologies; certified auditor preferred.
- Overseas work or international assignment experience.
- Prior experience engaging with Japanese OEMs in the automotive sector.
