Project Lead - Facilities/Utilities
Key responsibilities:

* As a Project Lead you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of CapEx projects. You will be responsible for delivering engineering capital projects in a Project Management Role, in a pharmaceutical or regulated GMP environment, from idea/concept, scope development, option assessment, business case and approval, design, procurement, execution, commissioning, handover and closeout.

* Lead assigned capital and site engineering projects from initial idea through definition, approval, execution, handover and closeout.
* Engage stakeholders to define the user requirement, project scope, success criteria, interfaces, constraints and business benefits.
* Develop project charters, scopes, option assessments, estimates, schedules, risk registers, resource plans and approval documentation.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary design covering utilities, facilities, HVAC, electrical, civils, fire protection and equipment installation.
* Manage designers, vendors and contractors, including tendering support, technical bid review, design reviews, site testing and commissioning.
* Plan and control budgets, commitments, forecasts, cash flow, contingency, changes and project resources. Provide clear status reporting and early escalation of risk.
* Ensure work is planned and executed safely and in compliance with site procedures, construction regulations, GMP, quality and validation requirements.
* Coordinate shutdowns, permits, isolations, tie-ins and work in or adjacent to live operational and GMP areas.
* Drive punch-list and snag resolution, turnover documentation, training, asset data, maintenance readiness, qualification support and final handover.
* Complete financial closure, lessons learned, benefits review and project closeout documentation.
* Collaborate routinely with Facilities, Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, EHS, Quality, Validation, IT/Automation, Security, Procurement, Finance and external partners.
Other areas of responsibility:

Knowledge, skills and experience:
Minimum knowledge required to fulfil job responsibilities )
Education:
* A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
* Project Management Qualification a plus (e.g. PMP)
Experience:
Typically, 8+ years of relevant engineering and project delivery experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or similarly regulated GMP environment.
Experience delivering engineering capital projects in a Project Management Role, in a pharmaceutical or regulated GMP environment, from idea/concept, scope development, option assessment, business case and approval, design, procurement, execution, commissioning, handover and closeout.
Must be capable of independently leading multidisciplinary projects from concept through closeout.
Experience preparing capital approval packages, cost estimates, tender documentation and contractor scopes of work.
Ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, risks, changes, contractors and resources.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across Engineering, Facilities, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Validation, IT/Automation, Procurement and Finance.
Sound construction safety awareness and experience managing work safely in a live construction environment.
Civils and construction management experience, including PSDP/PSCS interfaces, site construction management, quality inspections, snagging and closeout.
Experience with site electrical systems, including MV, LV and building electrical circuitry, and the ability to coordinate safely with competent electrical specialists.
Experience with fire and life-safety systems, including sprinklers and fire alarm systems.
Strong knowledge of several of the following: black utilities, clean utilities, HVAC, chillers, boilers, LPHW, purified water and general site utility distribution.
Experience with GMP facilities and facility finishes, including room fabric, cleanrooms and controlled environments, including bubble/pressure cascade requirements.
Personal skills:
Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interface effectively with contractors, vendors, and project teams.
Team Player working within a high quality and organised structure.
