The Opportunity
Join one of Ireland's leading Tier 1 main contractors delivering a landmark, high-spec commercial development in the heart of Limerick city.
With an established regional base and an extensive multi-year project pipeline across the Mid-West, this role offers long-term stability on high-profile schemes without the need for national commuting. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Finishing Foreman who takes pride in delivering exceptional architectural and interior finishes from second fix through to client handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Finishes Delivery: Take ownership of all interior packages-drylining, ceilings, architectural joinery, glazed partitions, flooring, decorative finishes, and coordination of MEP final fixtures.
- Subcontractor Management: Supervise, coordinate, and drive specialist fit-out trade contractors to maintain momentum against daily and weekly site targets.
- Quality Control & Snagging: Implement rigorous benchmarking and zero-defect QA/QC processes, managing digital snagging platforms (Procore, Fieldwire, or Dalux) to close out defects swiftly.
- Programme Coordination: Work in tandem with the Senior Site Manager and Project Manager to monitor short-term lookahead schedules, material call-offs, and site logistics.
- Safety & Standards: Maintain clean, safe working environments in full compliance with EHS standards, method statements, and BC(A)R regulations.
- Handover & Commissioning: Coordinate pre-handover inspections, client walkthroughs, and sign-offs to achieve smooth, defect-free sectional completions.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 7-10+ years of on-site supervisory experience overseeing interior finishes and fit-out packages on large-scale commercial, high-density residential, or hospitality developments.
- Background: Trade-qualified background (Carpentry/Joinery, Plastering, Drylining) or a relevant Third-Level qualification in Construction Management / Building Technology.
- Main Contractor Exposure: Proven track record working with reputable Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors or premier specialist fit-out contractors.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for architectural alignment, acoustic/fire-stopping compliance, and premium finishing standards.
- Certifications: Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and CIF/IOSH Managing Safely Construction accreditation.
