Test Manager Tokyo - Software Development Contract Role

A world-famous provider of integration solutions is seeking a Test Manager to lead testing for enterprise-level software projects. This role requires strong leadership in test planning, governance, and quality assurance, with the opportunity to work on large-scale, business-critical initiatives in a fast-growing global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage test strategies, plans, and schedules for enterprise-level projects.
• Define and track test metrics to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Manage release readiness, deployments, and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with agile development teams to embed testing into the delivery process.
• Utilize Jira for test and defect management.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate test teams effectively.
• Review test cases, scripts, and results, while maintaining and securing test data.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• Over 6 years in software testing with a focus on planning, governance, and metrics.

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong experience with Jira, defect management, and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of automation testing tools (preferred).
• Experience in the life insurance domain is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Business-level proficiency (JLPT N2 or above).
• English: Business-level proficiency (intermediate or higher).

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience leading test teams for enterprise-scale projects.
• Strong coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines.
