A global financial institution is seeking an experienced Service Delivery Project Manager to lead IT operations and application support in Tokyo. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational reliability, incident response, and compliance with ITIL frameworks. You will manage a bilingual team supporting critical enterprise systems, coordinate with global teams, and drive service continuity planning and technical issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the L2 application support team to resolve technical and functional incidents efficiently
- Oversee daily IT operations including system monitoring, patching, and proactive issue prevention
- Collaborate with global teams and vendors to escalate and resolve complex infrastructure and application challenges
- Drive disaster recovery and business continuity planning at local and regional levels
- Ensure service quality through compliance with ITIL practices, including incident reviews and performance reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven experience in IT operations, service delivery, or enterprise application support
- Strong technical expertise in Windows/Linux systems, middleware, scripting, and monitoring tools
- Deep understanding of ITIL standards and best practices
Soft Skills:
- Leadership ability with experience managing internal teams and vendors
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work across functions
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Fluent
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries
- ITIL certification and/or disaster recovery planning experience is a plus
