Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of the retail investing platform, working closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic technical roadmaps.
- Oversee and prioritize projects, guiding them to completion with strong technical expertise and hands-on coding, primarily in Golang and Java.
- Mentor team members on best practices in coding and design, ensuring high standards and quality in code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product and technical goals into actionable quarterly roadmaps.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues to enhance system reliability, scalability, and ease of deployment and operation.
Required skills
- Over 7 years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in designing, building, and scaling production services in financial services, including service-oriented architecture.
- Backend expert (7+ years) in Java programming.
- Skilled in writing high-quality, well-tested code and fostering a culture of excellence, providing mentorship to junior engineers and establishing robust engineering standards.
- Proficient in system design and coding, with deep expertise in Spring Boot, microservices architecture, gRPC, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English.
Preferred skills
- Experience navigating rapid company growth, especially from startup to mid-sized environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Golang, Docker, and familiarity with Agile development practices.
- Background in AI or LLM.
