This role combines risk reporting, regulatory compliance, and data-driven process improvement, offering the opportunity to enhance operational efficiency through automation and analytics. Key Responsibilities
- Drive process automation and operational improvement using tools such as AI, VBA, SQL, Python, or R
- Manage and deliver risk reporting (daily to quarterly) and executive dashboards
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting and disclosures, working with auditors and compliance teams
- Collaborate across departments to support strategic initiatives and transformation projects
- Analyse data to improve workflows and strengthen operational risk frameworks
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in risk operations, market risk, or credit risk within financial services
- Strong experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, and relational databases
- Hands-on experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation
- Degree in finance, computer science, mathematics, or a related field
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work across teams and manage multiple stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Language Requirements:
- English: Fluent
- Japanese: Fluent
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
