Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for small to large-scale IT development projects.
- Manage project tracking, scope, quality, costs, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication across diverse stakeholders, including business users, client IT teams, operations teams, vendors, and development staff.
- Oversee technical and functional aspects of projects, securing required customer approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and share project reports, including weekly status updates, with relevant teams.
- Develop a deep understanding of client business needs and align project goals to strengthen long-term relationships.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in project management (Project Manager or Project Leader roles acceptable).
- Proven track record in executing medium to large IT development projects.
- Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience in IT departments of local companies, ideally in financial services (preferred but not mandatory).
Technical Background:
- Development experience and solid understanding of IT technologies are advantageous.
- Strong project management skills in scope, timeline, resource, milestone, and quality management.
- Experience documenting and defining requirements in standard formats.
Soft Skills:
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native-level (required for communication with clients and stakeholders).
- English: Intermediate to Business-level (good to have for documentation and internal reporting).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in financial industry projects.
- Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of emerging IT trends in finance is a plus.
