Build online tools for a US-based tech company in a small and diverse team.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business teams to understand their needs and effectively communicate priorities to the software development team
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps by analyzing business and customer needs, market trends, and competitor offerings
- Prioritize feature backlogs and allocate development resources to ensure timely release of features
- Create user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria to empower the development team
- Host and lead meetings with business and internal teams, documenting workflows, product Wiki, release notes, and more
- Learn and act as the authoritative source and Subject Matter Expert for local and global products
Required skills
- 5+ years of experience as System Engineer, Product Manager, Business Systems Analyst, Project Manager, or similar, in IT.
- Understanding of SDLC
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Assertiveness and ability to respond positively to changing priorities
- Native level Japanese skills, and intermediate English skills (or conversational English with a wish to improve!)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex product challenges

Preferred skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Previous work experience as a Product Owner, with experience in creating user stories and user acceptance criteria
