Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-touch Japanese equity trades across cash equities and equity swaps for international institutional clients.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with global investors by delivering outstanding execution and market expertise.
- Provide timely market colour, trading ideas, and execution strategies tailored to client investment objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Research, Trading, and Global Markets teams to maximise trading opportunities and client outcomes.
- Monitor Japanese equity market trends, liquidity, and economic developments to identify trading opportunities.
- Ensure all trading activities comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best execution standards.
- Contribute to business growth by expanding client relationships and supporting strategic initiatives within the equities business.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Japanese Equity Sales Trading within an investment bank based in Japan.
- Proven expertise trading Japanese cash equities and equity swaps.
- Demonstrated experience covering international institutional clients.
- Strong understanding of Japanese equity market structure, execution strategies, and global capital markets.
