Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-touch sales trading activities for Japanese equities, with a focus on Cash Equities and Equity Swaps.
- Provide exceptional execution services and market insights to international institutional clients.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with global investors through proactive client coverage.
- Collaborate closely with sales, research, trading, and global markets teams to deliver tailored trading solutions.
- Monitor Japanese equity market developments and identify trading opportunities to support client investment strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Japanese Equity Trader or Sales Trader within an investment bank in Japan.
- Proven experience trading Japanese equities for institutional clients.
- Strong understanding of equity market structure, execution strategies, and client servicing.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced trading floor environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Client-focused mindset with the ability to build long-term relationships with international investors.
Language Requirements:
- English: Native-level written and spoken proficiency.
- Japanese: Business-level proficiency.

- Experience covering international institutional investors.
- Knowledge of equity swaps, derivatives, or other equity financing products.
- Established relationships within the global institutional investment community.
- Experience working in an international investment banking environment.
