An internationally recognised data and risk solutions provider is seeking an experienced Head of Data Solutions Sales to lead its commercial business across Japan.
This executive leadership role offers full ownership of the Japan data sales business, including revenue growth, go-to-market strategy, key client relationships, and sales team leadership. You will drive both direct sales and strategic partnerships while shaping the long-term commercial direction of the business in one of Asia's most important markets.
This opportunity is ideal for an accomplished Sales Director, Head of Sales, Fintech Sales Leader, or Enterprise Data Solutions professional with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the full Japan revenue target for the Data Solutions business while providing accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management.
- Develop and execute a medium- to long-term go-to-market (GTM) strategy aligned with market trends, customer needs, and commercial opportunities.
- Lead, recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to consistently exceed revenue objectives.
- Drive business growth through both new client acquisition and expansion of existing enterprise accounts.
- Maintain CRM accuracy, sales pipeline visibility, and forecast integrity across the sales organization.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives, strategic partners, and key decision-makers across Japan.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and professional associations.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to support business planning and long-term commercial growth initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 10-12 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 3-5 years leading high-performing sales teams.
- Strong knowledge of the Data Solutions, Data Analytics, Information Services, or Fintech industries.
- Proven success developing and executing enterprise sales strategies and GTM initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise sales pipelines, revenue forecasting, and commercial performance.
- Track record of winning new business while expanding strategic client relationships.
- Experience engaging with C-level executives and senior business stakeholders.

- Experience working in multinational or matrix organizations.
- MBA or other advanced business qualification is advantageous.
