Join a major global automotive group as a Dealer Network Development Specialist, supporting the development and transformation of established automotive dealer networks across Japan.
Based in Tokyo, you will work across dealer network development, new dealer appointments, network restructuring, facility projects, real estate contracts, EV charging infrastructure, and dealer contract management. You will help identify and select new business partners while supporting strategic expansion and the continued modernization of the company's retail network.
The role also involves dealership relocation, refurbishment and rebuilding projects, commercial agreements, property-related contracts, and the implementation of new retail concepts and brand facility standards.
This is an opportunity to develop broad commercial and project management expertise while contributing to the transformation of Japan's automotive retail network as the industry moves toward BEVs, EV charging infrastructure, and new showroom concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize the automotive dealer network in Japan through new partner selection, network restructuring, and strategic expansion initiatives.
- Support the identification, evaluation, and appointment of new dealer partners and investors.
- Manage dealer facility projects, including relocations, refurbishments, rebuilds, and coordination with investors and external suppliers.
- Support commercial agreements, real estate contracts, and ongoing contractual compliance with dealer partners.
- Execute EV charging infrastructure and charging network expansion initiatives in collaboration with dealer networks and external providers.
- Support mid-term dealer network strategy and its implementation across Japan.
- Help implement new automotive retail concepts and brand facility standards.
- Coordinate with dealers, investors, global headquarters, group brands, and external business partners to progress network development initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- University degree with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in network strategy, market analysis, automotive network development, or a related field.
- Experience negotiating with investors.
- Sound understanding of contracts and construction-related legal requirements.
- Experience managing or supporting projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with dealer partners.
- Strong execution skills and a results-oriented approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced project management, negotiation, and strategic thinking capabilities.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent level.
- English: Intermediate to Business level.
